Find out how you actually work
Two free assessments built on the research instruments psychologists and the U.S. Department of Labor actually use. No account, no email, results in under ten minutes.
Every assessment names the research instrument its questions come from, and the licence it is used under.

Why these two and not a personality quiz
The questions come from somewhere
Every item in both assessments is reproduced from a published research instrument — the IPIP Big-Five Factor Markers and the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET Interest Profiler. Each page names its source and links its licence. A quiz that will not tell you where its questions came from is a quiz someone wrote in an afternoon.
Scales, not boxes
You get a position on each scale, not a four-letter type. Most people sit near the middle on most traits, and a system that splits everyone at the midpoint puts two nearly identical people into different categories — which is why the type you get often changes when you retake one.
What it will not tell you
Neither assessment measures ability, predicts job performance, or diagnoses anything. An interest inventory tells you what kind of work appeals to you, which is genuinely different from what you would be good at. Saying so costs us nothing and is the part most of these sites leave out.
